I currently have a seaquest Pro QD BCD i love it it is a very good jacket jsut it slides upwards and i go downwards when i inflate it at the surface, Does any one no how i can solve this of where i can buy a croth strap to fit the Pro QD

Why don't you start by tightening the shoulder straps. I have the same BCD but only in the + but they are basically the same rig. They are all going to move a little on surface but you should not feel like your sliding out of it.

i have the straps tightend as well it is a perfect fit around i dont feel i am going to fall out of it jsut it has tremendous lift and its slides quit a bit only at surface though

Are you diving w/o wetsuit? If so that could be a reason. Don't know of any other reason it would do that.

i normaly wear a dry suit but im off to tenerife so il be wearing a wet suit of semi dry which ever i buy thats why i wana get it sorted

I have a couple of questions? Are you wearing a weight belt when you wear your drysuit and the BC or are you using the weight pockets?

Do you lean back while on the surface?

How many dives/ how comfortable are you in the water.

i have the same bc but i do like zip dry suit diving.

i do have the same experience as you do with it riding up IF i cant get the cumberbund under my gut. Doing a giant stride almost always causes the bd to ride up on me....then once i get in...and the cumberbund gets wet...i can readjust and feel more secure.

i have often thoiught about a crotch strap.....if you do it and it works...pls pm me and let me know how you did it...
thanks..rich

I have done about 30 Dives with it, and i wear a dry suit in UK and yes i do lean back. It is fine once i am in the water i can re adjust the cumber band and it sits niceley, also yes i do use the integrated weights both in the side and at the back just below shoulders. I carry 8kg on it, it is only on a giant stride that it rides up and after the dive at the surface. i have not tried adjusting the cumber band whilst in water yet i will try that next time i am in which will prob be a pool session so be a wet suit

Thanks
