RJP3:
Not interested in cattle-boat, rushed dives. I want to dive with folks that are still as amazed at the undersea experience as I am!
Ray,

Look no further. Steve is being polite by not pushing his boat, so let me.

Steve's boat is a diver's dive boat. You'll get no fancy food and free booze for the non-divers. What you'll get will be a few fellow divers and a dive master (if it's Steve) who knows the right spots, takes you to the cool stuff, gives a pre-dive briefing with information, science and excitement, and knows how to have fun. I been on too many boats where the crew is just going through the motions. You won't get that with Steve's boat. You get he feeling that he is as excited about the dive as you are (and I think he really is!).

Just go up one post and click friscuba's link and make a reservation.

So, we're on Steve's boat a couple of months ago, moving from one dive site to another, and Steve spots a manta feeding near the surface. So, two of us grab our masks and snorkles and jump in for a look. What a rare unexpected treat! I shot some video with my still camera, not the best quality, but here it is:

That's not your average run-of-the-mill experience you had, Rick. That is a black pelagic manta. Whale sharks are seen about 5 times more often than black pelagic manta. Very cool.
