Visited Scuba.com (hard to not say leisurepro!) yesterday. Picked up a pair of the Seawing Supernova's for the wife/buddy. Man they are light! She is foot heavy so I think these will help. They didn't have the Go Sport Gorrilla's in store so I tried on a pair of the non gorilla's. So trying to have my cake and eat it too, I tried a medium with both my 3mm boots and my Deep 6 rock boots. Slightly tight with those, but way loose for the 3mm. Doesn't look there is any option for adjusting the straps on the Go Sport. I assume the Gorrilla's should fit pretty much the same. So back home I am playing with the Supernovas. Her size small with the strap at the largest setting is just the slightest bit tight with the rocks and obviously set correctly is perfect with my 3mm!! I thought it would be cool if you could buy another size open heel part, but it looks like they only offer the full foot pocket as an option. Otherwise that would be a great solution! I may try a medium Supernova and see if adjusting it to the smallest setting will work with the 3mm... But I was really looking forward to the orange Gorrilla's

cool if you could buy another size open heel part,

You certainly can now. Note that the small and medium open foot pockets share the same size blade and the L and XL pockets share different size blade.

Where do you see that? On the Scubapro site I only see the closed full pocket as an option, not the open heel??? That would be awesome if available. Ok, awesome would be orange, but changeable sized open heel would be pretty good.

Sent you a PM with information.

Does a size XL Supernova, fit same as a size XL Go Sport, like one would assume?

Basically the same pocket, the supernova has more strap adjustments plus easy to change the actual bungee.

And I'm thinking what's everyone talking about until I realised I had expanded my Super pockets but not the Go

Thanks to all the info in this thread, I'm upgrading my 34 year old, vintage SeaWings to a pair of Supernovas. The ability to break them down for travel was what tipped the scales for me.

Can anyone give me an idea of exactly how positively buoyant they are? Are we talking a pound or more?

Can’t give an exact amount but they will float, in rough surf I’ve had to kick them off underwater and the slowly float up, a guess would be less than a pound +

If floating or not floating is an important issue for you, you should consider the stek version of the supernovas. @lexvil is the resident expert in the stek. I have them (I have the go Sport, go sport gorilla, supernovas and the stek) but I don't have as muc experience as @lexvil does with the steks.
