I'm a Fish!
For servicing certain elements of diving gear (that have a tendency to lock up over time as the silicon grease will get washed out over time) I have always used a seawater proof and O-ring friendly grease. It was an industrial type grease also used in propeller shafts (if my memory service me well). An importantly it was also non aggressive towards metals like aluminium, steel etc. It is reddish and very sticky. However I have bought it the last time a decade ago, had to repack it as the original container broke and as such have no idea as to what it is called.

Does any body have a tip as to what I can use to replace it? Any grease that does not attack O-rings, and does not get washed out by seawater, is not aggressive towards metals? Or any other super tips that might do the same trick.

Love to hear.
