Seasonality in Buying Equipment

Since I am a just certified newbie, I was wondering if SCUBA equipment buying is better at the end of a summer?

i.e....like that of ski season where there are some great deals around March.

Certainly not Auatralia!!! Best diving is always in Winter (when it drops to a chilly 70 degrees F in the mornings)

Im only new to Georgia, But seems like year round diving is the go here as well, but im yet to brave that kind of weather.
