Okay. I got it. I will take a look also at those wing type BCDs, but I might actually go to the Pro Unlimited.

Thanks once again.

My DH and I have an Akona rollerbag for traveling, and we can put 2 BC's, 2-3mm wetsuits, 2 sets of fins, 3 masks, 2 snorkels, 2 mesh bags, and assorted doo dads and still be under 50#. My DH's BC is a SeaQuest Pro QD+, and although it is a little heavier than others we've tried, we've had no difficulty traveling with it.

Thanks for the comment. I am very inclined to get the seaquest. It looks very good. And if the weight difference is not that great comparing with other BCDs, then I guess this is the best option for me.

Can I get my vest bcd in a bag....yep. Is it as easy....nope. Do I want to carry my bcd on just like my regs???? Dang right I do especially if I am flying Air Jamaica and a couple others. That is near impossible with my vest....easy as pie with my bp&wing.

You don't think wearing your vest on would make a fine fashion statement! :eyebrow:

Thanks for your input. Travelling with the equipment is definetively one of my concerns. The stress of checking if everything is going to pass in the check-in.

i`d go for the pro unlimited, it`s an amazing bcd, but i`d think twice about choosing it over the pro qd.. i chose the qd over the unlimited due to the price.. the unlimited is close to twice the price and for that you get a knife, a retractor and adjustable lumbar support. i`ve been really happy with the qd but i`ve never dived with a morphos. as far as i can see, mares have opted towards adding new innovations and gadgets to their as opposed to building rugged bcds with proven technology. also, i`d say consider a backmounted bc. i opted for a jacket style as i`m doing my IDC in october and find its easier to keep myself upright on the surface. a lot of people prefer bp/wings as they really free up the range of movement in fron of your body. up to you though. out of those two, i`d say go with the pro. as far as regs go, have a look at the aqualung micra adj. it`s one tiny, light, adjustable, comfortable little machine.

May I ask why? Just the Regulator and BCD?

Redover......sure......

Some airlines are notorious for losing baggage. I can get my bp and wing, one mask, and some smaller other junk in a legal size carry on bag with rollers very easily. That leaves my camera BACKPACK with reg bag attached as my second legal size carry on. All airlines I travel allows a laptop computer bag and a backpack....as carry on.

I dont want to dive in rented gear. I want my own bcd and my own regs that I know how they are treated and know what the maintenance level is. (dive pc is in the camera backpack) And when the fecal matter hits the oscillating air rotation device, Im not fumbling around with unfamilial gear.

I will put my fins, wetsuit, knife and the other stuff in my check in as if necessary....I dont mind renting fins and the other stuff.

I also put my pony....drained...valve removed...and capped...in my checked in baggage with TSA's rules taped around it. No problems.

Thank you to all of you guys for your help, specially Antics.

I decided to go for the Seaquest Pro Unlimited. I will buy in the next weeks when I go to New York (Much cheaper than in Europe).

Antics: I finally found out the story about the inflator I was asking in the begining. The photo I saw was of the BCD with the optional airsource. By the way, if I opt for the reg LX Supreme (cold water), does it make any sense to use this airsource? would it be reliable in cold water? (I am not sure whether what is important is the first stage or not).

Thanks once again.
