I have one. I bought it in 2003 and used it for my OW training and almost all subsequent dives. It fits well, works well, is high quality, feature rich, and seems to do the job pretty well. It's a great cold water BC. I've got no complaints, other than it is rather large/bulky/heavy to travel with. I found that out when I took it to Australia (for 50 dives). When I got back, I got a Seaquest Passport to use for trips and use the Black Diamond for local and drysuit dives.

Overall: highly recommend.

I also have a Black Diamond and like it a lot. It is bulky like Nudediver stated. One feature it has is the ability to adapt it for using doubles if you are so inclined. It is back inflate so you do not get that squeeze that you do with a typical jacket style BCD.

Gaffer

I have one and it is a great BC. Comfortable, lots of lift, d-rings to spare, etc. I dive a dry suit in the cold northwest waters, it has plenty of weight pocket to accommodate more weight than I'd ever need...which is a big plus over a lot of BCs...many do not have pockets to deal with the 40# of lead I started with.

That being said, I am looking to move to a BP/W setup and will be selling my Black Diamond...want it? Its in perfect condition and has an Air2 on it ;)

I have had two. I wore one out diving it over the years and got another I liked it so much. It is bulky, but when disassmebled fits well into my dive bag for travel. Put in four bolts and its back together. Bolts allow gross adjustment for different types of suits (dry, wetsuit, skin) while straps allow fine tuning. Quality is excellent and never had any type of failure. That is why I bought a second one. Downside, no double tank strap, have had tank slip on two occassions and cant figure out why.

I have one, it sucks. Too much crap, too much padding, the bladder tacos, too many dumps, too many Drings and the Drings are too heavy.... too buoyant, rides up a bit much and it's too expensive.

Other than those things, it's a great jacket. Wanna buy mine? 50 dives or so on it and it's in great shape.

Boy, suh a crappy BC like that can't be worth more than $50. Yeah, sure, I'll take it for $50. What size is it?
