Sealife DC1400 avi file playback

I recently purchased a Kindle Fire HD 8.9 and am having a hard time getting any video file from my camera to play. i have downloaded a number of players and every one has problems playing the videos. Mostly, the playback is choppy and the audio is as well. As a test, I have played the videos on a couple of PCs and they work great. Wondering if i need a conversion tool. I have the 32mb version of the kindle, so my movies play well, Youtube plays well, just having issues with sealife avi formatted video. Any suggestions?

The DC1400 seems to use MJPEG encoding for its videos, which can take considerable CPU time for decoding, which is exactly what tablets don't have. Try re-encoding the videos as H.264 with AAC audio. VideoLAN - Official page for VLC media player, the Open Source video framework! should be able to do that.
