For anyone going to a Sea Cure the bite wings need to be cut way back. This is so someone with a smaller mouth does not gag on it. You never know when or who is going to come up to you and need air. Could be someone from another dive party even. I would recommend cutting it as short as your current mouth piece.

FWIW I also pushed in on the sides as it cooled to make it tighter to my teeth. I went back and tried the OE Scubapro mouthpiece and could not stand it even after using it for awhile. So far everyone I have run air share drills with has not had an issue with my Sea Cure.

If they're like molded sports mouth guards, I used to suck in as I molded them to get a good fit to my teeth and gums. It kinda sounds like the Sea Cure is basically the same concept.

It is the same concept. If you mess up you can always remold it.

annasea - I have worked for SeaCure for over 10 years and don't think I have ever heard someone say they hated our mouthpiece. We would be happy to help you try to figure out why it isn't comfortable for you and how to remedy that. Just e-mail us at rustygm@seacure1.com. Everyone else that wrote in and said they love their SeaCure - thanks for writing in and for being good customers. SeaCure has been in business for years because it is a great product and helps many divers enjoy their favorite sport even more!

How about some samples? Just kidding.

I just got mine and was pleasantly surprised. It was comfortable and the reg felt secure. I used to have sore gum after a dive but not with this mouthpiece.

I had one on my G250V and it was very comfortable. However, I am a SSI DiveCon and while working with students in the pool and going through air sharing drills (we use ScubaPro equipment with Air2's), I noticed that some of the students would have difficulty getting my reg's mouthpiece in their mouth when I was the donor. So I switched back to the stock, black silicone SP mouthpiece my reg came with. It is also a very comfortable mouthpiece, so I have no regrets.

I have one and I will never go back, unless of course it won't fit my new HOG reg when it gets here. After wearing my Seacure for awhile I will sometimes switch over to my octo to put some air through it and it reminds me of how much I love my Seacure.

I never found that I had a problem with the old silicone mouthpieces, but I got a free Seacure, so thought I'd give it a try.

I will never, never, never go back. I barely have to shut my mouth, no clamping... it's fabulous!
