I took that Turtle Awareness class with Force E a week or so ago. It was really good. I learned so much and had a lot of fun, too. For example, did you know 70% of the hawksbills we see here in Florida are from Mexico? They are born on the Yucatan, at around age 2 they make their way over here and hang out until around age 22, when they head back home to lay their nests.

Anyway, thanks for posting the video ... it was really beautiful. I love the shot with the shark and turtle together. Sensory overload. That happened to me last week off Boynton.

Yep. If I see a couple turtles on a dive, it's made my day.

You can see where turtles go on this web site:
seaturtle.org - Satellite Tracking

Jet and timg: interesting information. I went out to the turtle site that timg provided the link for and there is a lot of fasinating data. Found the travel path of one green turtle seaturtle.org - Satellite Tracking

not sure if it nested in Mexico (or Texas) or not, but you can see a travel pattern that looks a lot like what Jet described.
