On occasion turtles, most likely greens, are seen here off Catalina too. There have even been turtle tracks on some of our beaches. I've dived with sea turtles across the globe, but had the fantastic experience of diving with one on a trip aboard the King Neptune here off the island last summer!

I'm not a turtle expert by any stretch of the imagination, but if someone can confirm this is a green sea turtle, I'll start writing a future "Dive Dry with Dr. Bill" column about it. Only the image in the upper left is mine (from video). The others were taken by divers on the boat and used with their permission.
