I take Bonine (like dramamine but without the sleepiness). I'll take one before I go to bed the night before and a 2nd dose the morning of before I leave the house towards the boat. So far (*knock wood!*) I've never gotten sick using this routine!

I tried using the scop patch, and it usually works very well for me when I'm not diving. For some reason, while diving, I got really sick on my surface interval. Two other divers on the boat said they had similar experiences. I ahd used it a few times, and never had the best results while diving. I stopped using it, don't know if that was the cause or not. Where do you all put the scop patch to keep it from coming off underwater? I've also never had one stay on me.

I use TripTone. Much stronger than Dramine, very similar to Bonaine, but in pill form rather than chewable, & it doesn't make you drowsey. I also take 2 the night before & 1 the morning of. I've spent too many dives puking in the regulator....so I make sure I get that trip tone in my system well.

I used a watch that sends a electric pluse into your wrist and it worked great on me and my girlfriend. It sell for about $99.99 little on the high side but it worked. I can try to find the name of the watch and post it later. Works great with no side effects..... Mark

I get really sick on rollercoasters, mostly a really bad headache but then I feel like I'm going to throw up... if I take some Dramamine first I am good to go for the whole day. I only got seasick once on a whalewhatching boat. Ick.
