I second Scubatoys is great! You can really tell how good the service is when something goes wrong. I had a problem with a product purchased from them and they sent out replacement before the recieved the defective one back, that is unheard of in most buisnesses.

LOL on the Dive rite Ether air fill, unfortunately I have to wait for the wireless version.

My husband and I are also looking to purchase our first gear setups. Sounds to me like ScubaToys is reputable and well liked. Does anyone out there have any opinion on Scuba.com? They were another online retailer that I ran into while searching... thanks!

I will chime in on the first class operation that scubatoys is running. Those guys really are great and I get my regs serviced through them as well and I will continue to be their customer.

They are a little tough on the online air fills thing and I don't see Larry budging on that anytime soon, but we can always hope.

Has anyone had any experience buying a wetsuit from them?

I want to buy a Henderson Hyperstretch, but my body measurements don't fit their posted size charts so I'm reluctant. Acutally, my measurements don't even come close to their size charts.

I really don't want to go try a bunch on at a LDS (if the LDS even has them in stock - doubtful) only to turn around and buy from ScubaToys.com. Seems sort of mean and unethical to do that ... to me, anyway.

Anyone ever find a way around this prob?

I have purchased wetsuits from them. They are very easy to work with and we did somemeasurements and ordered with enough time to make a couple of trys. The first one was close but did not quite fit, so we had to send it back but we were able to get another one sent before we even sent the first one back and it only cost a couple of dollars for us to ship the first one back and they didn't charge anything to send us the next one. Also with the price Larry gave us on the suit the minor shipping around was nothing.

They are very easy to work with and they listen. If you have the time I would definitely back their service.

You may consider buying a custom wetsuit. You might find the price to be the same or close to it without the guess work....

They did the same for me recently. I wanted to exchange my zx octo for the newer version and they sent me one out before they even received the other one! They have been very patient with me! I have exchanged serveral things because I changed my mind and they have been happy to do it. They will continue to get my buisness!

Some of us are lucky to have Scubatoys as a LDS. If it was not for it being a 45 drive over there I would be there every week.

Let me first say that there are other web sites out there, like ours OneStopScuba.com.........and we do I think a pretty good job..........but Larry has set the standard for those of us in the business. Not only is he a nice person he has done a great job creating a very successful business model. I just hope over the years we can rise to his level. Larry......I salute you.
