Get the SP MK10/G250, its an awesome reg.

The MK10 is a balanced 1st stage, the Calypso's first stage isn't.
 
The Mk 10 G250 is a great reg and in mamny respects reg design has not really improved since the MK 10 G250 arrived on the scene in the mid 1980's.

Demand for the G250 has always been strong - stronger than for the newer G250HP - and SP is now essentially undoing the mistake they made discontinuing by reintroducing virtually the same reg as the G250V.

Performance of the Mk 10 will be much greater than the Calypso first stage and if it is in good condition a Mk 10 G250 at the same price as a new Calypso would be a much better buy. SP still provides parts and service support for the Mk 10 and G250.
