Second, the following link from SCUBAPRO's website, SCUBAPRO - Product Support, does not specifically state that SCUBAPRO's regulators are still warranted for life. Are they?
Yes, they still have the Life Time Warranty.

IMO, the Scubapro warranty and the " New " Free Parts for Life program is a better deal.

As I stated above, you still have the Life Time Warranty.

Moreover, you can have your Scubapro reg. serviced once a year and receive Free parts or once every two years and receive Free parts.

Atomic makes excellent regs., but no free parts.

I am sure you will enjoy your new reg.

Have FUN diving!

halocline if you buy a 50th anniversary Gold MK25/S600, then I might give you Free Parts for Life.

This reg. is a beauty, it will be a collector's item. It is a very limited edition.

What do you think?

I have the old school metal barrel g250. I've never been able to figure it out. Video please!!

If you had any understanding of how it works you'd realize that there's nothing about it that can cause your reg to fail.

My understanding is the same as that stated by elan below... and I dare you to tell me with a straight face that one cannot bump it just right during a dive, especially in an environment like a silted out wreck interior, thereby engaging the purge lock. Is it unlikely to actually happen? Of course. But it's a potential problem nonetheless.

Push the purge button halfway through and turn counterclockwise. It takes some practice.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go see about this amazing limited edition piece of bling that beaverdivers is hawking. Maybe I can get some gold rims to go with it

Don't worry about parts for life. Rinse your reg and get a service every 24 to 30 months. You will save a lot of money and that service inetrval is more than reasonable!

What a lovely offer, so generous of you! But most of the regs I have are already collector's items. And I already have more-or-less a lifetime supply of rebuild parts for them, for which I probably paid under $50.

There's no way you could accidentally engage it and not be able to immediately release it. 'Bumping' it will not set it in place, you have to depress it and then turn it delicately, and then slowly release it until it catches. It doesn't engage easily. The slightest 'bump' or tap would knock it back out. Try it sometime, you'll see exactly what I mean. You might think it's a potential problem, but then again I might think that space aliens taking over the dive boat is a potential problem as well. Have either of these things ever really occurred?

I am confident that the atomic floating orifice/spring washer arrangement would be more likely to cause some problem, although I would agree that overall atomic regs are very well built and I've never heard of the floating orifice jamming open or something like that.

It's nice to have the beav back, isn't it?

50th anniversary Gold MK25/S600,This reg. is a beauty,

Is it a faithful wife or a sexy vixon?

I'm not so sure that any significant seat impression would occur between services without this feature.
Not a technician so don't know for sure. I've taken apart some very old stuff with seat impressions
but not so much that they were not still functioning as intended. I like the new SP two year or
100 dive service interval and glad I just got mine serviced before the change.
