Im seriously getting into diving now so im just about to purchase a new set of regs. Im a cold water diver (about 13-19 degrees), mostly focusing on deep and wreck dives.

The two regs that im interested in at the moment are ScubaPro MK 25TA/S600 vs Atomic Aquatics "M1" Regulator.

Could anyone who has either of these rigs let me know what they think, or if they have tried them both let me know.

They both seem to have pretty good reviews, so i was hoping you could let me know which of the two would be better for my diving.

Cheers

I can't really comment on the Atomic but, I've heard good things about their regs.

I use the Mk25/S600 as my primary. The Mk25 is an outstanding 1st stage. It allows for good hose routing and is very reliable in my expericence. However, I have not had it in water anywhere near 13 - 19 degrees. For water this cold, you might want to go with a sealed diaphram 1st stage like the SP Mk16. The S600 is very, very nice. Breathes as well as I can imagine a reg ever breathing.

If those are the only 2 choices

Go with the ScubaPro. If you plan on diving cold a lot I'd give serious consideration to a sealed first stage. That's just my opinion.

that's celsius i assume. so you are basically in the 56-68 fahrenheit range. i don't think you need a sealed first stage for that. both regs are great. not much you can do wrong. what i like about scubapro is that it is much easier to find a dealer than for atomic. makes it easier to get things fixed when travelling.
