Not saying you can't do tech diving on a ScubaPro computer. But it is not a common choice. There are a lot more mainstream computers that are much more understood in the tech diving world.

Have you found a tech instructor yet? Even if you are not ready it would be good to find one. Have a discussion with them about what you are wanting to do. What should you be doing to prepare to start that path. Both training and in gear needed. And let the computer be part of that discussion.

Guessing at gear without really knowing if it will be appropriate can get expensive.

Perhaps I might have rephrased it better. Keep It Simple. Choose a dive computer you can easily understand it’s functions and still be able to grow with. Don’t forget as a novice diver using a HUD style dive computer. How are you going to share this information with your buddy or other team mate.

You don't appear to understand how dive computers work. You don't "load a dive profile for deco stops", you enter parameters such as the gases available and gradient factors desired(or some other factor to adjust the amount of conservatism in the calculations) and the dive computer calculates in real time the deco required, depending on your depth and the time spent there.
Yeah, I wasn’t sure how to read that. I wasn’t sure if it was meant how it was written, or if meant as planning dives.

That’s a good point. HUDs have their place, and in certain types of diving, they are essential. They do have some limitations. This is one. Using the onboard planning functions or changing settings seems to be more complicated than a wrist mount.
