I have been curious, what makes a trip a Surge vs an Invasion?

The Invasion is to celebrate ScubaBoard's birthday, which is in June. There are usually 75 + divers attending except for when we go to the Pacific.
This diving social event became so popular, that we started another one called the SURGE.
This event is held in Dec. or Jan. and is the smaller of the 2, with 75 or under the number of divers attending. We also have had manufactures join us with demos and workshops for the last 3 years. This event can be held at smaller dive locations because the amount of divers is less.

Both diving social events are to foster the sport of diving by helping members to be comfortable, confident and successful with diving. There are usually many opportunities for them to learn through training and from each other. They make new friends to go on other dive and travel adventures with. And the nondiving friends and spouses make new friends and have a blast too! Both ScubaBoard Invasions and SURGEs are all about the FUN!
