If you are looking for the food, but don't really want to pay for the show, Aloha Mixed Plate is the hot ticket in Keihe on Maui.

Thanks KrisB.
Aloha Mixed Plate is actually on Front St. in Lahaina, immediately behind the Lahaina Cannery Mall.

I think it's the same kitchen as the Old Lahaina Luau.

Yea, that's the place.

For Luau's I would recomend Feast at Lele. The Old Lahaina Lua was not bad, compared to most others I have done, but I think the food & service at Lele was better.
Old Lahaina Luau and the Feast at Lele's are run by the same company. Both are excellent.

Feast at Lele's is a sit down arrangement with fewer people than most luaus. A bit more upscale and sedate than most lauas. My #1 choice.

The Old Lahaina Luau, like most others on the island, has a pretty good sized crowd and is buffet style. My #2 choice. It's a big enough difference from the others that I'll drive my guests over to Lahaina from Kihei to go there rather than hitting the much closer Wailea luaus.

.. Anyone have Oahu suggestions?
well.. i was hoping to defer to others more native to oahu.. but here's my 2¢..

i think your best bet is the west side of oahu..
starting with ocean concepts for the dives/snorkel..
maybe if you request makaha caverns..
it's a nize 20-30fsw dive.. with lots of large swim thru's..
and shallow enough for the snorkelers to see tons of turtles and fish..
plus i've heard they provide great snacks/sandwiches :D

then.. you could stay on the west side (just pack a change of clothes)..
and go to one of the west side luau's..
either germaine's or paradise cove..
i've been to both a couple times each..
germaine's has a really good show..
and paradise cove has a cool beach lagoon.. and slightly better food..
tho' both have "okay" buffets.. so you'd go to these for the shows..

or.. if you wanna skip the luau's.. you could do a nize romantic dinner at roy's in koolina.. great restaurant!
congrats..
cheers!
