There are some things that should have been shown. What was the inhalation effort of the second stages: that should have been checked when the IP (MP as Aqualung / Apeks refer to it). Also, purge the second stages to see how well it locks up. Simply opening the valve and looking at the needle isn’t thorough enough. In short, it is a good idea to see how the regulator is performing before breaking it down.

There are better tools for the job that will make it much easier to break the reg down. The o-ring pics in the vid are fine for taking o-rings off, but not that great for the diaphragm. A bar that screws into the port holes will make it much easier to handle.

Also, one needs to inspect the individual components for build up of crud, damage (such as scrapes from sand) or anything unusual. And, break the reg all the way down. In the vid a component was not taken apart: breaking it all the way down helps for cleaning purposes.

In such a video it is recommended you show all the components placed on a matt in a nice and neat organization so that people don’t misplace or damage parts.
