Does anyone have experience with or know about Pro Dive in Ft. Lauderdale? I'm considering becoming an instructor through them. Any advice on a career in recreational diving would be much appreciated. I know it's tough and low paying, but I'm willing to live with that....

Thanks,
Aubrey

I dove with them several years ago. At the time, they seemed to be a very professional outfit. I have read several posts recently that mentioned that they were first class.

Do a search and you should turn up those posts.

I did my IDC with them back in 1993 and dive with them on a monthly basis. While there are many good dive operations in the Ft. Lauderdale area I have to say that IMO Pro Dive is the most professional and well run operation around. Their staff is by far the best I've ever come across and their facilities are top notch. They run a 60 foot custom dive boat that is the largest in the area that I'm aware of with plenty of room for people and gear. When I dive with them there are always Instructor candidates onboard from all over the world that have come to south Florida just to do their IDC with Pro Dive. If you have people that are willing to spend the money to come all the way from Europe to the states just to take a class that they could easily take much closer to home and at a much cheaper cost, it tells me that they must be good.

If you haven't found their websit yet, here's the link. Pro Dive
