I am looking for the Scuba Pro repair guide for the D350 second stage regulator, i have the schematic and require the repair guide.

Never seen one, but if you have specific questions there are a few people that frequent this forum that can give you answers. In anticipation of one, the answer is yes, the square o-ring that goes in the dive/predive switch is a big pain in the ass to get seated and then have stay in place while you wrestle the spring/lever in place and get the screw started.

Thankfully that big square o-ring rarely needs changing.

p.s. I second the bit about never having heard of a repair guide for the D series, they are a bit different to service than most others, but really not all that hard to work on. Most common mistake seems to be putting the levers in backwards as the correct side changed depending on which D series and which revision

In reviewing wjhat I have of the Scubapro Technical Service Manual, I see there is supposed to be an appendix that covers adjustment procedures for each Scubapro regulator. I'm missing the appendix. Anybody have the TSM appendix covering the D-series?

I change it every time. I don't rebuild my regs every year, and I've found that square o-ring is a pretty common vacuum leak source. Plus, if it starts to leak between rebuilds, you have to take practically everything apart to change it.

The seat on the D series regs can last a really long time; the spring pressure is very light when the reg is not in use, and the orifice is bigger than the barrel poppet regs. So, the seat imprinting is really minimal. To me it makes sense to replace that switch o-ring rather than risk having to take it apart again.

I bet that spot would be a good candidate for a polyurethane o-ring; then it might really last for a couple of rebuilds.

I'll see if I can price the preformed o-rings but I just happened to have a -116 in my stock and it fits perfectly. And, with a dry o-ring and dry groove, it presses into the groove and stays in place quite nicely. I think I'll do a rebuild on the D-350 beater I picked up and give the generic o-ring a try. How was Cozumel?

I give those plastic pieces of junk away to people I run across in restaurants....now REAL regulators, the 109s/BAs....that's a different story. :D

....which reminds me, I just put a BA kit in that re-chromed 109, so Awap, if you need the old spring and pad from it, let me know.

Matt went to CZM and didn't tell anybody? :shakehead:

BTW, so far that -116 has been the proverbial round peg in a square hole. But I'm not ready to give up yet. I'm sure it is a technique issue. But my cussing in Italian is getting much better. And that is just trying to get the round o-ring to seat in the groove and the retainer started, never mind holding it in place as the wireform spring is installed.

It might not be a bad idea to try sticking that o-ring in place with a light adhesive. But I thought you said in your earlier post that it was staying in there fine?

I did go to Coz as a last minute (sort of) escape for last week. The diving was great as usual, and I used the afore-mentioned D300 for a primary. Thanks again, Couv. Next up I need to get my RAM rechromed, actually this would be a perfect time to do it.

It stayed in place with no lube. A coat of tribolube gave it life as I thought it would. It is still real close. With the sides of the o-ring in place, I can press the lever into position and push the top and bottom of the O-ring into place. Done right, it looks like it should just pop into place and you have to hold it there and get the retainer started. I'm sure the right technique will do it. Then there is that spring.... But technique on that is improving also. It only took 5 or 6 MFs to get it before I realized the o-ring did not seal. So now I check the seal before installing the spring. Damn this is fun.:D:D
