I just don't log dives
I'm trying to flesh out my scuba DVD/Movie collection...
Here is a small/partial list of what I have:
The Silent World, Jacques Cousteau Odyssey, multiple Sea Hunt episodes (well over 100), DIR Fundamentals, The Life Aquatic w/Steve Zissou, Creature from the Black Lagoon and a few others...
What other movies/DVDs do you feel are essentials?

Into the Blue - if it was based on the movie alone, i might not recommend it, but since it features Jessica Alba scuba diving in a bikini, i think it belongs in EVERYONE's collection.

Oh, and SHARKWATER, when it comes out on DVD will probably be a must have.

hmmm... the Abyss? (very nice)

the Deep ... (pretty good)

hmmm....

the Cave ... (cheesy)

Water's Journey is a must have

Open Water, even if not the best...

Men of Honor ... though it's about Navy hard-hat diving

the BBC's Blue Planet has some awesome stuff

The Deep (wet T-shirt)
Hitler's lost Sub (about U-869)
The Silent world
Into the Blue (for the J. Alba)
Any Sea Hunt show

DEFINATELY The Deep! (since it's what first got me interested in diving!)

The Abyss
Sphere
Open Water (for the cheesieness of it all)

+1 on "Into the Blue" It's a pretty good movie but looking at Jessica Alba makes it the best.

Das Boot if you're a wreck diver

The Abyss- Directors version... the documentaries about the making of the movie blow me away... hard to believe how much effort went into that movie, and the longer version is WAY better than the theatrical.

Open Water 2 just released on DVD So good it never made it to the movies

The Opening scene of the Deep.... I just watched it again the other day.

Tried to convince the wife to dive like that but .... hummm... she said HELL NO!! :eyebrow:
