scrawny girl needs BC advice

Hi, what ever you do, DO NOT simply try on a BC over your clothing and decide from there! A lot of people do that and to be honest, I don't know any of them that go in the water that way!
I would suggest you put on a tank and BC (at least) to see how the tank effects the fit of the BC. To do otherwise would be like buying a mattress without laying on it.
 
I am scrawny, 5'4" and 110 lbs., dive in cold water with a 6.5 ml wetsuit, and I have a Mares Frontier Vera that is . . . well, the next best thing to diving naked! I am being a bit funny there (other thread), but really it is so comfortable I don't even think about it once I have it on. The weight of my tank is nicely distributed (chest strap - get one!) so I can walk to the water easily, and it just seems to adjust to fit perfectly. Fit a BC like you would a trekking backpack - weight where it should be.
