Will it be DIR? We have been told over and over that a non adjustable harness is what we need. That a non adjustable harness has all the cofort and convienence we need and that any modification or divergence would have significant negative consequences?

That's a good question. I don't imagine many current "hogarithian" rig users will see much value in the system (after all, if it's dialed in, you never have to mess with it and most people are getting in and out of harnesses just fine), but maybe it will be helpful to people with certain mobility issues?

It is a bit frustrating that the pictures and video speak to how innovative and easy the system is, but never show how it works. One thing's for sure though, if it does keep a "single continuous webbing" then the adjustability of this harness will probably be more accepted than existing "comfort harnesses" with buckles, connectors and breaks in the webbing, which always seemed to be the real issue against adjustability.

I watched the video. I honestly find this very funny. I bought a BP/W 3-4 yrs ago based on all the hype on SB. Got a DR venture wing with aAl plate. I had never used one before. Within 2 hours I had added rings to allow the harness to adjust exactly like they show in the video, glued up shoulder pads out of old wetsuit and also made a backplate pad out of old wetsuit. I personally find it very funny.

I also modified to include an elastic crotch strap, (really a huge improvement, certainly more than shoulder pads). I was ridiculed on this board vigorously when I even inquired about that idea. LOL

I also had to modify the wing itself a little after many dives.

FWIW, the adjustbility of the harness makes it much easier to get on and off and it allows you to wear different thickness suits without changing anything.

I don't worry about the buckle moving a few inches based on different shoulder strap lengths.

Ouch! $900? :shakehead: That's about twice the price of a DSS setup with adjustable harness. Those blue "H" decals must be expensive!

Wow, for that kind of price, I'd probably be more inclined just to buy two BP/W rigs to be used with my different exposure levels. Of course, I'm probably not the target market. :)
