All kidding aside, I would be happy to take you scallop hunting. With gas at $3 a gallon, I'm not sure how many trips I can make this season though since by law I cannot charge or accept payment of any form. $80 in fuel per trip isn't going to appeal to the "Boss".

Of course, if you find a couple of $20's on the front seat when you pull into the gas station, and I say "Nope, not mine, must have fallen out of your wallet," well, who's to say?.

The Day Breaker, Fran Marcoux has a put together a "short notice" Scallop dive for this Friday June 26, leaving out of Cape Ann, email him at FRANM52@aol.com or call the store at 617 969-dive to sign up.

What about the red tide?
 
Scallops meat isn't contaminated by red tide, their digestive system is. Since we only eat the adductor muscle, which doesn't accumulate the toxins, red tide isn't a problem for scallop hunters.
