My buddy and I dove Old Garden Beach last Saturday. It was pretty cold (got below 48F before we couldn't take it) so we kept in shallow waters around the rocks on the left area. We saw two ocean pouts which was the first time I've seen them!

The water temps around these rocks were about 48-50F. Still pretty cold but worth being there.

The water was really calm and flat. All the seaweed that gave us so much trouble on Tuesday were all gone. This site seems easier to dive at low tide.

PK,

We were at OGB on Sat. as well....from about 7-10:30AM. What time were you there?

Funny enough, we saw an ocean pout on our first dive as well. Sounds like it may have been a different one....we went straight out a fare distance on our first dive (I think we hit about 45 feet max depth) -- the pout was in 35-40 feet of water.

We showed up around 10:30am. The ocean pouts weren't moving very fast and I was surprized to see them in only 10ft of water.
