Hi all -
Weather permitting, Jeff and I are gonna hop in the local pond here for a couple of tanks on Saturday or Sunday. (Hathaway's Pond in Barnstable)
So far the forecast looks pretty decent, and the vis is usually pretty good there.
If the seas and bays aren't looking friendly for you this weekend and you need to get wet, you're welcome to join us for a change in scenery.

-Lisa

Thank you Lisa, what time you want to meet there?

I assume that pond does not freeze over. Or are you planning under ice?

Man, now THAT'S DIVING...Barnstable, Mass. in the Dead of Winter! You're a better "man" than I Lisa...haahhaaaaaa....I know Barnstable, as I went to graduate school at BU and was out in the way out burbs a few times...brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

Rafael - if we go, it will likely be a morning dive. Maybe 8ish? We can decide closer to the weekend.

GM - It probably won't be frozen...the Cape stays relatively "warm" and with Wednesday being 50, I bet we'll be ok. As I said though, weather permitting. If there's ice, I'm staying home!

James - It sure is cold, but I just got my drysuit, so I'm trying to make my purchase worth it!!!

All I can say is that you MA divers are one tough bunch! I showed up a few years ago (winter) at Cape Ann with my fancy CCR, argon gas and I cried momma while I see several folks get in and get out like it was nuthin'. My hat off to tough MA divers. Mr. X Grrrrh/Brrrh.

That's right, I forgot you are much farther (ha ha) south. Ooooh, fresh water. Makes me wonder if it's worth driving down there to join you.

I went south once. I spent a January weekend in Portsmouth. It's not all that it's cracked up to be. :D

'Specially if I have to travel deep into MA to get there ;)

Lisa, thank you, and we'll see, it may not be to bad, since the temp will be high 30's low 40's for the most part, but as you say we'll set up time as we get closer to the weekend.

Cheers,

By the way what kind of dry suit you got?
