Well, this is a couple days late, but I've been kinda busy... While PK and her friend were enjoying the near caribbean-like visibility up at Cape Ann, Devils_Advocate, Doder, & myself hit Ft.Wetherill. Did two dives, both in the left cove. First the left wall, then the right. Visibility was average, about 8-10ft. Saw flounder, scates, a couple of small lobster, some nice anemonies, and even a pair of squid on the 2nd dive! And tons of starfish everywhere. I forgot to bring the camera with me on the 1st dive, but did grab it for the 2nd. The photos are at the link below:

It did start raining while we were under for our 2nd dive, but it wasn't too bad, and pints of Guinness & some good food made the rain much easier to live with :)

Saturday was definitely fun! The start of the first dive for me was a little rough; I was having difficulty with my hood. The damn thing was just too big and was allowing air bubbles from the regulator to get into it, etc. . .We still ended up doing a nice dive.

The seconde dive was a lot better for me. That is until I got tangled in D_A's damn flag line at the end!

notabob is definitely a great navigator! And is correct about the guiness! :)

Thanks for sharing them. Glad you saw so many different kinds of sealife. What was the water temp and depth?

Anyway, I'm glad you are such a good navigator. I dove there once with Rax and he navigated us towards the open ocean when he thought we were going back to shore. Oops, I forgot I wasn't supposed to tell a living soul about that...

Hehehe... Poor Rax. :) Let's see... Can't remember the exact numbers, but on the 1st dive (left cove, left wall) we hit about 40ft, although if you go out a bit further there is a vertical drop-off down to about 80-85. 2nd dive (left cove, right wall) we hit close to 40 once again, if I remember right. You can get deeper if you go further out. Devils_Advocate and I hit ~60 there the next day. On Sat., though, we turned the dive early because we hit some current that started carrying us out to sea much faster than I would've preferred. Thankfully the current was gone the next day. Temps were about 56 on the surface, and about 54 at depth.
