Thinking of going to either Sanur or Nusa Dua as there seems to be very nice hotels in both….we need a good dive operation so we can organize dive trips…we don't need any courses or anything, just a dive school that is reliable and one that will be professional.

Thanks

There are lots in Sanur, just be ready for loooooong drives (2-3h) to the east of Bali, or 45mn boat rides to Penida, all the places where the diving is.
Try to get one that will allow you not to dive with the crowds (they all say that... but ask them to be more specific about transport, number of divers per guide which should not be more than 4, etc.).

Try these guys. Mike Veitch is on this board and they really know the area. Not your typical dive shop so might not be what you are looking for, but I can recommend them.

Hi,
If you wish dive in Bali, Between the two locations you Like it. Sanur is the better option because as people mention above trips to dive site are long and Sanur is at least better situated for move around the dive sites in Bali. I can recommend Crystal divers located in the middle of Sanur very easy to arrive from any good hotel in the area. Very good professionals and plenty dive guides to offer a realible and personal service.

Sanur is a better location to base yourself if you want to dive. Nusa Dua is very far from the dive sites in Bali. In Sanur, I recommend Atlantis, ATLANTIS BALI SCUBA DIVING - 5 Star PADI professional Dive Master. In my opinion, they best match the type of dive center you are looking for and can help you with other details of your holiday.

Upon the recommendation of Divewench1, who spent several years in Bali, I used Bali Scuba (www.baliscuba.com) based in Sanur. Despite the unimaginative business name, they are a big 5-start PADI operation with very good and helpful staff. They do day boat trips to Nusa Penida as well as to Padang Bai, Candidasa etc. I was positively impressed and suggest that you try to contact them.

Thanks for the recommendation, and sorry about the name :)

It's about 45 minutes to the dive sites at Nusa Penida from and as the poster mentioned lots of nice hotels here now. We have lots of half price trips and courses running (for this month only): http://www.baliscuba.com/may-promo-2015. Email the Sales Crew on letsdive@baliscuba.com.

We're about to open up an operation in Komodo - any suggestion for a more interesting name than "Komodo Scuba"?
