I wrote a tutorial about the strategies of marine animals for living and surviving in the sand.

It's not a trivial challenge for a small fish or shrimp not to get eaten when living on a featureless sandy plane. That's the advantage of coral reefs - many places to hide. Not so in the sand. So animals either need to be well camouflaged, build burrows, cover themselves in sand or be venomous/spiny.

The images and videos in the tutorial are mostly from Dauin/Negros Island/Philippines. Enjoy!
