KelpCoasters:
Anybody know of a link where I can purchase this video? I don't remember the pink diver so I don't think it's a video I own yet. Thanks.

I bought mine at Monterey Bay Dive Center. They'd probably be willing to sell you a copy over the phone.

Cool, thanks.
It's a DVD right?
Is it the one with a blue cover, red type, and narrated by various divers/rangers with sections divided into monterey, carmel, and pt. lobos?
If so, I already have it and just overlooked the pink diver....

Andy, et al.

*hanging my head* It is a video. I bought it a few years ago, so that is my excuse.

Yes it is the Monterey Shore Diving Video. I am not in the video, but I was quite surprised while watching it the first time because one of the narrators is an old snow-skiing acquaintance.

I don't remember the pink person. I do remember one person in a pale green or yellow wetsuit with antennae. I suspect that they were supposed to be a banana slug, but I have never been sure. Of course now all of us are thinking "I need to dust that bad boy off and watch it again!"

Oh well, I tried.

So Andy, do you feel welcome yet ;-)

you guys rock

watch for my PM with info

renpirate, thank you for the DVD... my wife and i watched most of it this
afternoon.. awesome

i have several proposals to make Monterrey diving better:

1. get rid of all the kayakers

hmmm... that's about it, actually :eyebrow:

awesome stuff... i am REALLY looking forward to diving there

oh, saw the guy with the Shreck ears... my wife found him most amusing

I commented on him to my OW instructor who of is a Nudibranch nut, she knows him and he is a nudi nut as well.

I'm guessing it is an Otter Bay suit, same as Wristshots:

Their custom hoods are awesome. Almost all the drysuit divers I know use one.

There is also a new dvd coming out in a few weeks that is supposed to be really good. I pre-ordered mine and can't wait.

Glad to be of help. Just let us know when you will be coming over this way and we'll role out the welcome mat. If you have the time, a trip up my way would allow you to do some abalone diving. It's free diving, but you can't do it in Monterey. Abalone is a real treat, which I don't think you can get anywhere else (legally).
