I believe Dive Bliss had a fire onboard -- and last I heard neither of their boats were running.

Despite what is being posted the DNDII is no frills but they will get you there and back safely. You can take your bags aboard but they do prefer you leave the big Pelican boxes on the dock -- but bags are welcome below. You are provided with baskets to store your wet items under the benches as to not clutter the deck.

The Lois Anne is a nice boat (though I hate the swin steps to get back on) they provide Nitrox for an additional fee -- and the current crew is a good one.

The Horizon is a really nice boat -- great food -- great crew -- and nitrox for an additional fee as well.

I have not dived the Hydrodiver but have heard he does a good job as well.

Regarding DCI, Barry has returned as the principle owner is and rapidily trying to restore the boat. While it remains no-frills it has improved tremendously over what it was a couple years ago. But those used to tropical tourist crews will be disappointed, I don't ever see them being that good. Right now the boat being so slow though means they are only good for the wrecks off the jetty.

I asked around today, and can confirm TekDiveGirl, Dive Bliss still has boat boats in dry-dock. Shame, I liked them.

Although the DNDII is definitely no frills, they are all about diving. If you sign up for their "fill the boat specials" you can occasionally do two-tank wreck dives for as little as $40. The price, combined with the fact that they mostly dive the wrecks, makes them an attractive option for local advanced divers. So, that's kind of their market niche.

Although it was a more expensive ride, I really liked the speed, comfort and service on the Bliss. Sorry to hear about the fire! Can't speak about the Lois Ann - haven't used 'em.

thanks for all the feed back
we can hardly wait to dive the wrecks
I'll post how it goes and who we went with

il be out on the dnd tommorow, im not a fan of that boat. i like danny howards little yellow cat, which hauls butt and he doesnt charge much, and hes willing to go to the deep wrecks. The lois ann is a great boat plus the food is good which is important. the hydrodiver is slowwwwwwww 7 knots max speed, but capt bill is a really cool guy so the slow ride isnt so bad. The horizon kicks butt and if i could i would live on that boat.
i really like my friends with boats.
