San Clemente Island

Was a challenging dive for me yesterday, was a good bit of current, 55* , viz was only about 10'-15' ... had to stay close to the Yukon so as not to get blown away .. new mask leaks (HydroOptic) and had mask squeeze l am unfamiliar with (painful) , sometimes blowing into nose did not fix, had to pull on mask,and blow forcefully(purge valves?) .. had to stay ahead of the mask squeeze curve
I did like being able to see so well without contacts and close up too, and great peripheral vision

... I also found those two 1lb weights I couldn't find .. in my weight pouches! .. explains why I felt overweighted, especially on the stops ... SAC was .77 (surprised it's not higher .. felt like a hoover)

Second dive, to Ruby E was a bit better, less current, 56*, but I did get cold about 1/2 way .. but a very cool dive, it still looks like a parade float with all the strawberry anemones ... SAC was a bit better at .73

I had a new dive buddy, Ken ... was good, stayed close, I didn't lose him

.. was a 2 + 2 man team .. we always stayed close together .. was a very good pre-dive briefing by Rig

I missed you guys too!! Puff and I did manage to make it out to Hooters on Sunday though!! We had 2 pretty good days of diving, really much better than I had expected.

I'm really glad you went and had a good time. You should get out with Rick more often! I'm pretty sure he knows all the good spots and where to find the most trouble!

I will see you soon!! I will be out the 13-20th of October. Going to hang out with the MoCal crew for a few days first, We're going to dive Pt. Lobo's!!
But then I'm heading south to see you guys! We'll go harass some Hooter Girls!
