I have attached an important reminder about how to safely wear the MAKO weight vest so that it can be ditched in an instant with just one hand. Some other weighted vest configurations are not similarly configured.

IMPORTANT!
QUICK RELEASE WEIGHT VEST INSTRUCTIONS

STEP 1) It is easiest to put the weight vest on in “temporary mode” as shown below:

NOTE: This configuration DOES NOT offer a quick release option and is NOT for diving!

Buckling your straps in this configuration is only to assist in putting the vest on before your dive.


STEP 2) Once the vest is on, disconnect the buckles from the “temporary mode” and then reconnect as shown below to the right “dive mode”.

The “dive mode” configuration is the correct way to dive with a weight vest, enabling a quick release.
