Just out of idle curiosity, how do you catch a blennie? I have enough trouble snapping a photo of the sneaky little buggers.

Answers involving "sprinkling frozen vegetables around their nest and waiting for the blennie to take a pea" will not be accepted. :)

Phillipines and Indonesia, but here they use clove oil or Rotonone.
 
Dynamite works best. Stuns the bastards. Just scoop em up and transfer to bags. Keeps nosy tourists away too.

Grabbing specimens at BHB? The optics are just so bad for the aquarium. Do it somewhere else for heaven's sake! What were they thinking?

There is a petition started by Jim Abernathy...
It appears to be very carefully considered and worded. In essence, it appears to ask for a ban of all collecting by commercial or private interests while leaving other recreational activities alone.

As of now, it has over 2K signatures. I signed. Anyone wishing to sign can find the link in post #45 of this thread.
 
Every one of those coral or fish species were collected from an ocean by a professional collector. Yes, many are now captive bred,

Jus to add, our local aquaculture guy was complaining recently about the crackdown on exports from Indonesia. Apparently he was not happy that it's now much harder for him to replenish his stocks with new varieties.
