Looking to pick up my first strobe, wondering which one you would recommend between the Inon S-2000 or the Sea&Sea YS-03. It will be used with a Nikon J3 for now though might be changing over to a Panasonic LX100 next year.

Thanks

See this thread on the YS-03: http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/strobes-and-lighting/494170-sea-sea-ys-03-a.html I have not used it or your camera but I have been very happy with Inon S2000 strobes. Absolutely no problems and you can run this in TTL, adjust the exposure in TTL and run in full manual. They are a lot more expensive and very small. If you have large hands or use gloves when diving, then you might find the controls difficult to manipulate. Good luck choosing.

I run a pair of s2000's currently and looking for a stronger replacement. Perfect for macro/close subjects, weak for wide angle. If wide angle (e.g. human-size) targets are interesting for you, I'd definitely get a stronger unit like the z240.
