I'm putting together my first set of set of doubles (Faber 95's), and ran across two styles of isolation valves on the OMS website.

One is listed as having a "Rotating Cross Bar" and I assume the other doesn't.

Are there any reasons I'd want a rotating cross bar?

I read somewhere that it rotates to allow the valve to get out of the way if it hits an obstruction.

However since I beleive it would be angled toward my head, and unlikely to hit an obstruction, and since the tank valves don't rotate, this would seem to be a feature without a benefit.

Any recommendations for or against? Am I missing something?

Thanks,

Terry

Yeah well I can't help you much, I have the same tanks doubled and I used a halcyon manifold which has the barrel o-rings and rotates, I have it locked off at the angle I like and it was easy to set up. I could well imagine the static set up being a bit more finnicky..

Oh and some people swear the double o-rings to be an inherently safer setup.
