Hey all I have a 2002 Jeep Grand Cheroke and I am looking for a roof top cargo carrier. Anyone have any recommendations on this? We are going away with our 7month old and I kinda need the extra space for the Pack-n-play, stroller, etc.

We have always found that Thule made a wide range of carriers for a variety of car models. However, they can be pricey.

Yakima is another make that comes to mind, although I personally have no experience with them other than for bike racks.

Bonne chance,

I highly recommend the Thule Evolution series of cargo boxes. (I only wish that I had bought the bigger one!)

I put one on my Tahoe a few years ago and I have used it a lot, and it has been great. It is aerodynamic and it works very well. I was "warned" that it would kill my gas mileage, but I have not seen that at all.

TIP 1) If you buy a different brand, make sure that the cost of locks is included. When I was shopping around, I found a cheaper box, but the locks were not included.

TIP 2) Remember after you add a box that your vehicle is now taller than it used to be. This may sound stupid, but you need to be aware before you go into parking garages etc.
