Kevin Lee joined me for our monthly dives at Kevin's Reef and Golf Ball Reef. Some day the weather will allow us to have more than one dive day per month, but for now we have to pay our dues.

The wind and rain was predicted for around 4:00 this afternoon so we tried to beat the weather with a couple of morning dives. The swells were already picking up as we rounded Rocky Point so I elected to drop anchor at Kevin's Reef. A moderate current on the bottom assisted me in circumnavigating the reef. Visibility remains poor to somewhat decent after the storms of last month.

We raced back to the west side hoping to get out of the swells. At Golf Ball Reef we had swells, wind and light rain. Visibility was less here but we managed to tick off two more notches in our logbooks.

Great photos as always-- I got out to Anacapa yesterday and had some outstanding dives on the backside. Viz was in the 10-12 foot range, but conditions were outstanding from a swell and current perspective.
