Once again we were limited to Golf Ball Reef this morning. I can't blame the weather this time. The sky was clear, the swells were down, and we had favorable light winds as we left King Harbor. Unfortunately, an alarm was sounding letting us know there was a charging issue with the boat. I told Merry I may have to change the alternator after we got back in. We made one dive at GBR, then headed home. After hooking up the hoses to rinse the motors, I removed the engine cover to find brown water stains all over the motor, a water leak below, and smoke coming from the alternator. We later hauled the boat out for the third time this year. It's back to my exercise routine for me. :(

As for the dive, we had very nice visibility below the dark green layer. More Chestnut cowries laying eggs and mating nudibranchs. I've been finding Navanax eggs all over the reef this week. Today, for the first time, I found a mating pair of Navanax inermis.
