Eh, you fly to Hawaii one day, work off the jet lag more or less the second day (watching sunsets seems to help the most to me), and by day 3 of 8 you're more or less on local time. So you have a week?We have thought about Hawaii but everyone we talk to says need to go for more than a week because of the flight time??
Mantagirl-
Fiji is on the list (as well as Bora Bora and the Maldives) but that would have to be some time down the road. I'm sure it is expensive and sounds like you would have to have about a week and a half (half a week for traveling) We usually use Delta Vacations because of our skymiles program and they don't have Fiji listed. Who did you book with to get there?
$2500 to $4000 total for the two of you? Coz would be closer to the smaller, Hawaii the larger I think, much of the CALA area in range depending on hotel tastes. For the most part our previous vacations have been anywhere from $2500 to $4000 no matter where we have been and being able to do whatever we wanted to do within reason. The last anniversary was close to $4000 because of my AOW certification course.
I have been looking at Cozumel (now since the posts) and a little at Belize and Roatan.
Never thought Panama and before just lumped Cancun and Cozumel area in the 'hurricane belt'.
Hurricane hits from Cancun south are possible, but not nearly as likely as our eastern seaboard and northern Caribbean. I always do trip insurance for international anyway, and plans can be adjusted cheaply enough if your original plan will put you in harms way.
