Diver Lori:
My buddy and I are waffling between a package in Roatan or Belize. The packages we are looking at are Lighthouse Reef Resort in Belize and Fantasy Island Beach Resort in Roatan

We've been to the websites for both and the ops/resorts look comparable.
Looks are deceiving.

But a mere 90 miles- though an entire world apart.

Your original question though, was about the diving... which is quite comparable. Either Lighthouse or the South side of Roatan is a great place to dive. You can't miss!

The Blue Hole matter has been discussed previously and endlessly, yet it has come up here again. In my book, highly over-rated and a bit on the twitchy side of advisability due to its remoteness and depth. It's a "logbook" dive.
