Question Roatan in Late September (After Sept. 15th Independence Day)

Hi All,
Planning a dive trip to Roatan 9/22-29 to get my Advanced Open Water. Wandering what the West End is like that time of year? I've heard after the 15th the island basically clears out and some places start closing down. Traveling solo so hoping there there still some life at the bars and restaurants at night so I'm not sitting there by myself for a week. Thanks.

Just fine. We have a place in West End and we've been there in September, October, and even November. Yes some of the smaller eating options close, but we've never had any issues finding a place to eat or drink. If you don't have a place, one of the front units at Cocolobo will be a good option for you. 5 minutes walk to Sundowners, Moana Divers, Sun Divers etc. and then you're right in town.
