We invite you to join us for DAN’s latest lecture series targeting Florida lobster diving during mini-season. Dr. Peter Buzzacott, Director of Injury Monitoring and Prevention, will present "Risks and Hazards of Lobster Diving" in various locations throughout Southern Florida and the Keys.
"Risks and Hazards of Lobster Diving"
As the largest two-day recreational diving event in the world, the Florida mini-season draws thousands of divers to the area. Drawing from data collected, this presentation addresses the number of deaths per year and the causes and compares and contrasts the findings between hunter and non-hunter incidents. Dr. Buzzacott will review case summaries of incidents, identify the common hazards and how to avoid them, and how to best respond to these injuries.

The lecture series kicks off on July 20th in Islamorada.
