My condolences to his family and friends. I never had the pleasure of meeting Bill, but thoroughly enjoyed his posts,

Sad news
He will be missed by many

So very sorry to hear this. A true legend indeed. My condolences to his family and friends. I’m thankful to have interacted with him over the years here on SB. He will be deeply missed.

So sorry to hear this. He had been quite ill for some time. Dr Bill contributed do much to the SoCal dive community & to the Scubaboard community. He joined SB groups diving at Casino Point & I had the privilege of having him join one of my AOW classes during a night dive. RIP Dr Bill.

RIP Dr. Bill.
Calm seas, great viz, and lots of mermaids.
Dang.

I am devastated. He seemed to upbeat and positive only recently.

So very sad to read this. I met Bill years ago and had the pleasure of spending the weekend in the efficiency suite at his condo on Catalina. We laughed and laughed and laughed... no diving, but the company and the humour certainly made up for it. Sincere condolences to his family and many friends.
