Oh, man! Just read this.

I had dinner with Dr. Bill in Catalina a few years ago when I was teaching an instructor course in the Los Angeles area. He was awesome!!! We instantly clicked like Hawkeye & BJ on "M*A*S*H" and had a great time with my student and my student's wife. He met up with us at the dive park and we hung out until we had to catch the ferry back to Long Beach. Never thought that would be the last time I would see him. I have some of his videos. Such a loss to diving and Asian women (his favorite!)
