Does anyone have the specifications for different wings for the Riffe Blue Water Speargun. I have the teak for the wings and would like to make it myself. I was debating whether to post this thread on the DIY forum but decided I better get this information from Hunters.

If you are making them custom, I would make them to the size that you prefer. The longer the wings down the muzzle the less recoil and muzzle kick it will have. The wings in the front of the gun will make the power bands pull much straighter down the muzzle upon release. The size of the wings depends on what you perfer as far as looks, and function are concerned. You could check www.speargun.com and maybe get the specs off of that website.

I saw your GTB video way back looks pretty cool. Am worried about making my gun too bouyant. speargun.com will not provide the specs. Steve Alexander has a sight but again the spec are not clear on the full size wing. I guess I will just have to try it out myself and go from there. They seem very easy to make, the balance would be the problem.

Teak is a heavy wood loaded with minerals (silicates). It is barely buoyant. If balance is a problem, a clever person can bore the wood in a non critical area and spill in some lead ballast.
