I have a scout troop that has been certified open water and I want to take them diving in the Florida Springs. We don't have alot of money so we need some good dive sites that arn't to expensive. Any information about State Park dive sites and good places to camp would be appreciated. Rick Shaw

Get with NetDoc, he's involved with Scouts. Alexander Springs near Orlando was nice, NetDoc was kind enough to give my students and I the grand tour! I think it was $5 to get in.

I'll second the Alexander Springs recomendation. Ber is dead on regarding the entry fee being $5, and camping is also available. I would try to set the camping up as far ahead as possible, though, as the park is a rather popular camp site. Another plus is that it is located in the Ocala National Forest, so there should be plenty of other nature oriented things to do. Several other springs that allow only swimming are within driving distance, and are well worth a day trip.

Let me know if I can be of any more help.
