Gidds:
Didn't you know some colleges issue diploma's on little wallet-sized cards as well as the big version you frame and hang on the wall?

Knowing universities I am absolutely positive they'd charge an extra fee for that.....

RIOceanographer:
One ten billionth of a meter.

A little off topic, but some might like to know;

In the US, a billion is one followed by 9 zeros.

In the UK, a billion is one followed by 12 zeros -- Really !

So a UK angstrom is smaller than a US angstrom ??

RIOceanographer:
Fold?!?!?! I would not desecrate it in such a way! :11:

I wear it around my neck in a gold frame like everyone else!!! :D

I got outnerded! :D

I had forgotten the UK did that, UK billion=US trillion. I guess I should have said 10^(-10) meters. I almost said that in my other post but I was trying to sound less "nerdy" with all the anti-nerd heat I was taking from Gidds..... drat, I got burned by my vanity!

Hey, this gives me an idea! Imagine the potential spin value for American politicians if the US switched to the UK "billion". Then overnight the US deficit could go from xxx trillion dollars to xxx billion dollars!

Ah...and hence the reason the OW class I was supposed to DM this weekend was canned.. ;). Here's hoping next weekend looks better (and I'm going to be happier and warmer too, since my drysuit will be back from DUI tomorrow with a new exhaust valve and new kneepads :D).

I'd be much more interested in knowing the conditions next weekend, that's when I'm planning to be there!:D
